Just scrolling through the Ebay turntable listing and came across this.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Linn-LP12-Turntable-Cirkus-Subchassis-Kit-Light-use-Very-clean-/301382858723?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_HomeAudioHiF i_Turntables&hash=item462bd177e3
In the ad it says trending at £743.75 and there is also a square trade warranty at £103.99. Seems way over the odds. What do other members think?
Sounds a ridiculous price for a few bits and pieces. Still if people pay that amount for it then hey ho, its a free country...........for now:eyebrows:

Its incorrectly listed in the turntables category, it should be in the turntable parts & accessories category... As such eBay are quoting the average selling price for complete LP12's.

Take what he says down to the chemist Dick and they will make it up for you.
A fiver says you come back with a gallon of pile ointment.
What does "trending" mean?
And, on top of that, what the feck is “square trade warranty”?

A warranty for wankers.
Dunno... but you see the warranty on things that would cost a fortune to repair.... Nothing that a spotty kid could do in the back of Richer Sounds for example..
Ah, gotcha!
;)
I don’t use/take any notice of that sort of pish. I just buy and sell stuff normally, and never encounter any problems :)

Another thing which is absolutely useless is the blue panel telling how many have watched the item. What possible use is it to anyone?

Let's face it, ebay is a bit shit.... The charges are what get me, they have everyone stitched up like kippers.

I do not sell very often on it as the charges are so high but I do buy quite often.

To the seller, perhaps?
To the seller, perhaps?
Precisely - It's supposed to get the buyer to think "OMG, there's lots of watchers, I'd better hit BIN!"

Are people actually as thick as to think like that? If they are it's sad!
