The Signifer was an expensive, top of the range model. Not common now. I have heard them, but can't recall what they sounded like (so they obviously did not make a big impression). They had issues with cone surrounds not lasting too many years, they rotted away. My favourite British 'Big un' from back then was the Spendor S100. Lovely!
