argo pre amp

hi,folks can anyone tell me if the hera power supply comes as standard with argo,and what is the difference in sound uality,will be using it with croft twinstar one all opinions please and thanks

Hi Charles, when I owned both the Argo and ISO the Hera was an upgrade option. As for sound quality everything improved: soundstage, bass detail and extension, midrange clarity and treble sweetness the Hera was a a very worthwhile improvement. Initially the ISO was feeding a MF Pre3a which was replaced by the Argo the Argo later replaced by Acoustic Research LS7 which with the ISO and Lumley Reference M120's was single ended heaven !
