Actually, I was at the BFI last night, the start of a film festival, there was a short and then the feature.

Both had wonderful soundtracks. The short was Bach Cello Suite 5, Vivaldi Opus 8, a bit of Jacques Brell, finishing off with Louis Armstrong. All that in 15 minutes. Wonderful. Can't remember much about the film.

Then the feature, too many to list, highlights were a bit of Don G, the Adagio from Mahler 9, Satie (Trois Gnossiemes), Mozart C Minor Fantasy, some Chopin, bookended by some cabaret.

I go to a lot of dance and sometimes find myself eyes shut listening. (Tomorrow I'm at a show with a Kathak/Flamenco score.)

Am I the only one for whom the incidental music is starting to become more of a focus than the main course?
