I took the opportunity of getting a flight in before being grounded for at least 8 days due to the weather deteriorating.

I set off at about 3 o'clock and took a photo of the sky at the cross roads just outside the village because it looked so good.
An aerial shot of the cross roads is to follow.

When I got to the field the wind was a bit strong for my liking so I took a detour and came back about 1/2 hour later.
I always take a little time to set up and check everything (safety first) so I eventually took off at 4:22pm.
Quite close to the field I saw a farmer filling in some drainage trenches with the bucket on the front of his tractor, shot taken from about 600 feet.

I continued on flying into wind (always ensures that the return will be quicker, a good approach to contend with failing light or diminishing fuel) and took a general shot of the terrain before me:

This is the shot of the cross roads just outside the village where I took the firt shot of the sky:

Just a little closer once making a change to direction is an aerial shot of the local village:

The flight was a little bumpy due to the breeze but the enjoyment from being airborne is quite fantastic. A little further on is the local 'lac' that attracts the local fishermen:

I had a good flight with plenty of low level fun once I had got back to the field, enjoyed also by a young couple who had parked up to watch the antics, with the young woman taking pictures of me on her mobile.
Once packed up just after sunset the sky looked terrific:

All in all a VERY enjoyable afternoon visit to the field, :yay:, so this evening it's down to a bit of  to celebrate.

Instead of gadding about Alan, I think you should be cracking-on with that OTL jobbie.
