Hi am considering some bits for my new Techie (already :))

Looking for a black achromat any thickness any diameter (it's only really to make the record easier to lift off my MK1 funk platter - but also as I heard the make up is slightly different and it may further improve upon the platter?)

Also black isonoes please

Also a 1210 dustcover - needs to be in pretty good nick please

can swap or part ex for the following if interested :-

SDS (sounddeadsteel) Isoplatmat - original black one £90 rrp

SDS isolation squares - original black ones £40 rrp I think?

Thanks for looking :)

There's a guy on ebay selling his own design/manufactured Technics dustcovers for £37 which look interesting and very well priced. His background seems good, working for Technics for 20 years and now doing rebuilds. Lots of info if you follow this link:

If you get one keep us posted. Quite interested to know what they're like.

Thanks mate! But I actually want to go old school with a proper one to attach to the hinges - I already have a perspex one I could use

Pair of Silver Isonoes on TAS, not Black but cheap http://theaudiostandard.net/thread/732/fs-set-isonoe-feet-threads.

Worth checking out the Reso Mat (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RESO-MAT-TURNTABLE-PLATTER-MAT-FOR-TECHNICS-SL1200-GARRARD-401-/181111989567?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_HomeAudioHiF i_Turntables&hash=item2a2b1da53f) half the price of the Achromat and quite popular on here http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?14600-TransFi-TURNTABLE-PLATTER-MAT-THE-RESO-MAT/page9&highlight=resomat

Under Isonoes you should have Techniboots - as they improve the sound further

I just happen to have a set for sale :)

Thanks Darren good man :) sent a message about the feet!

Re the resomat - I am kind of thinking I have a special platter designed to draw the vibrations out of the record, so to then not use it by separating the vinyl completely from it might defeat the purpose?

Hence my thought that an achromat would do more of the same but also make it easier to take the record off

That said I started looking at Oyaide and Nagaoka crystal mats too - so fuck knows! Think I am just desperate to by some new clothes for my girlfriend ;)

Damn just read Marcos review - and assuming the ETP platter is similar to the Funk then it seems it does work well!

Since then though I just read him say the Nagaoka crystal is the best so far - but that's £120

Oh the joys of this little game we call hifi :)
