For sale is my Lenco in a slate plinth. It started out as a GL75, and the motor was stripped and serviced at the beginning of this project. The idler arm has been wrapped in PTFE tape. The top plate is NOT a PTP5 - it is a copy of one, made by someone out of a sheet of aluminium. There is therefore no lever for speed control but this can be adjusted if needed with a screw. There is also no power switch on the top of the plinth, but there is a filtered and switched IEC socket on the back which is easily accessible.
The plinth itself is made of solid slate and measures 560 x 420mm, it is 40mm thick. The top edges are chamfered - the initial cutting to size and chamfering was carried out by a stonemason, but the internal cutouts were DIY and hence not the prettiest - but they are of course hidden. The plinth is cut for an SME 3012 tonearm, but I believe adapters are available to convert this to other mounts. You could of course re-drill the plinth and and make an armboard to go over it, which was my plan if an arm change happened. The feet are adjustable and solid steel.
The whole thing weighs about 30kg. I initially built a birch ply plinth, but this was a MAJOR improvement on that. There is no rumble or vibration that I can pick up, even tapping the plinth when playing a record. There are some small marks on the top of the plinth sustained during the DIY process, it is not completely perfect!

The sale includes the turntable, plinth and feet but NOT the tonearm or record clamp pictured. The sub-plinth (the slate piece under the spikes) is not included either, but I may part with it if someone is particularly keen. I would like £475 collected from just off J11 on the M25. I don't think delivery would be sensible, but this may be possible entirely at the buyer's risk and expense.
