Cheers Nial. They sound gorgeous but they're a bit less bonnie to look at in the flesh. TBH, I don't care that they're a bit shabby as they sound sumptuous.

Thanks John. You're right. I've been really very lucky to be offered them. I've not seen another pair of really big Tannoys come up for sale in central Scotland in all my years of trawling the ads. I'll never be able to thank Richard enough for giving me first refusal.
Also, you're not wrong about Paul C. I've absolutely no doubts despite certain comments above so I've gone ahead and ordered a pair of his external crossovers for the Lockwoods. Sadly, a man of his talent is kept busy and I'll have to wait a few months. Still, that's no hardship. :)
