There are a few scratches to the aluminium top plate:

and the rubber part of the plinth has been enlarged previously to accommodate a Rega arm,

Other than this the TT's in good condition, but clearly not as good as the SL-1200 (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?34458-IC-SL-1200MKII-Funk-Platter-FX-1200-Mike-New-Bearing), nor do I have the original box or dust cover so accordingly I'm asking £1100.00 ono.

I really would prefer collection, sending would be awkward and would have to be sent in at least 2 packages as the arm would have to be removed, either way I'm happy to package it up if needs be.

Likewise  Glad you're happy with the Techie, what cartridge have you installed?

Yeah - its getting better and better as I listen :) Different presentation to my Inspire - and I prefer it all round so far!

Am using an Ortofon 2M Black......do you think its suitable for the arm? (I have no idea about all of this cartidge matching! I thought as long as you could get the VTA and downforce right the all was good)

But I hear about matching the mass of arm??

I imagine the 2M Black is one of the best combinations with the FX-1200 and is the cartridge I would have gone for if I were keeping the Techie. Kevin (CageyH) has the 2M Black (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?29472-The-Tech-Gallery/page9&highlight=techie+gallery post #87) on his FX-1200+

Wahay! Stroke of luck then :) :)

I can just relax and enjoy now knowing I am getting the most out of it without going MC route which I can't be arsed with! Maybe I will get a TT Shelf but that's all I can imagine I would need to do with this beauty!

Just screwed the psu to the top of my hifi cupboard as you had handily installed it in a case with a fixing plate. So now its a nice tidy switch out of sight behind a cupoard door! Perfect

Cheers Marco - guess I categorically answered my own question about the Funk arm and Platter :)
