hi I heard this was a friendly hang out - finding after searching for info beresford.

I listen to classical, rock and electronica in equal measure - finding a system that can handle chamber orchestras and heavy rock has been a bug bear. I have enjoyed tinkering with hi-res music for a while but have enjoyed getting back into vinyl this year with all the heavy pure vinyl releases.

EQUIPMENT

IMAC i7 with USB out (to overcome 96 limitation of mac optical) - running iTunes, Amarra 3.0 via DIRAC live room calibration
to chinese built XMOS USB/toslink converter (500MHZ chip)
to Beresford Caiman MK II
to NAIM NAIT 5 SI
Project Debut carbon turntable
Dali IKON 6 MK II on tesco granite chopping boards

In 15 foot square office treated with blue frog audio wall panels & foam corner bass traps (wife loves that decor!)

Hi Robert. Welcome to AOS.

That's a tidy system you've put together there. (I use Tesco granite boards too)

Post some piccies in our 'Gallery' section. We'd like to see your gear.

You'll find loads of Beresford info here.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Hi Robert

Welcome to the Forum

Tidying up before you take the pictures is cheating!

Welcome Robert.

The Nait 5si must be very good! I own a ''2004'' Nait 5i. The 5i is certainly no shrinking violet, but it plays music good enough to my ears. Excellent PRAT :D

My father uses the CD5si CD Player.

Which electronica albums do you own? Perhaps can you name a few?

Welcome to AoS Robert.

Nice little system you have there - it's always good to read of someone finding the ideal system for them to enjoy all of their musical tastes.
