I have been told I have to sell before I can buy, so this has to go! As I am building an LDR pre, and need a new power amp, this is the logical candidate. (I also have the Consonance Orfeo CD player which is staying, and a Consonance C200 power amp. You may have noticed that I really like Consonance equipment!)
I bought it new last summer from the importer for £1150. The list price is £1695! http://www.aa-acoustics.com/13.html
It has had very little use, so it is almost as new as it looks. I had just had a bad motorbike crash, and bought more things than I really needed, the trouble with sitting in front of a computer.
It is fairly high gain, so very sensitive speakers or power amp probably wouldn't suit it, although I will include a pair of attenuators that I made. Most reviews seem to be of the Mk1, this Mk2 being an improvement. To me it sounds clear and dynamic, but I'm not allowed to keep everything I want to.
Sorry about the picture quality, I don't seem to be very good at them. The official picture is better of course, but of the silver version. http://www.opera-consonance.com/products/cyber222.htm Oh, and the edge of the Perspex top plate lights up blue!
I'm asking £600 for a quick sale, hopefully, as I need the money as soon as possible. Postage would cost £12 plus £15 insurance (up to £750). It is packed in the original double box with all the foam plus extra bubble packing inside. I have left the valves in situ as I think they are small enough to travel well like that, but I would remove them if asked to.

The top has to come off to remove the valves (unless you have VERY thin fingers!) so I took a pic.

Need? What is this "need" you speak of? Surely "want" is sufficient.

Did you get my PM yesterday?

Hi, sorry, I didn't notice it. I was pretty tired after driving back from Manchester; that's my excuse!
" Do you have any idea if this would work well with a pair of Graham Slee Proprius mono blocks? "
I can't answer your question myself, never having heard your power amps, but I can't see anything in the specs that says no. Maybe someone else can answer, open forum is fine by me, whether they would suit or not. 575mv in for 26w out doesn't sound too sensitive. I can't see what speakers you have, though.
I have been using it into a Consonance C200 power amp (120w/8ohm) which is probably more sensitive for much higher output, and into 90dB speakers I used the attenuators, just so I could get the volume control working higher up it's range, otherwise the steps were too large at low volume. With 26w, it probably would be higher up anyway. Unless you have REALLY sensitive speakers!

I'm amazed this and the power amp hasn't sold.

I would certainly have been tempted if I was in the market for amps.

GLWTS Richard.

It would be tempting if I needed a pre. Sadly I don't! I have gone passive (TVC and LDR), and the next valve pre (if ever) will be one I make myself.

No worries ---- infact I've just sold it in the last 10 mins (!) .... I need to look at my cash situation now as I am interested ---- I'm just about to list an iFi Dac Mini and a iFi USB power let me know if that might be of interest ( i dont like paying fees !!)

In case anyone else asks, I have long ago spent the money from this sale! So I need cash, not allowed anything new for a while. :(

This is a great amp --- sorry for you that it seems to be hanging around which I can't understand, unfortuantely I'm in selling rather than buying mode too ---- IMHO Consonance is a great company with great products and AA Acoustics as UK agents/importers are very helpful should anything go wrong so that concern can be addressed ----- anyway GLWTS this price seems v fair
