Hi all,

I am considering some options to make my own cables and want to follow a recipe that requires extra soft annealed 4N pure silver wire. The best I've managed to come up with are suppliers in America or China. I tried wires.co.uk but they don't appear to be able to help. Can anyone recommend a supplier in the uk?

Many thanks,
Crom

Have you tried the silver wire from wires.co.uk . I know it may not be exactly what you're looking for but is very good quality , easy to work with , and sounds excellent.

Give Nick at Hificollective a bell... He should be able to sort you out. :)

I put up a build thread here: http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?33823-Geisha-Interconnect and at post 7 YNWaN provided this excellent link: http://www.hificollective.co.uk/components/wire.html
There looks to be many good options there.

Thanks all, yes HFC is great and I've dropped Nick a line. Unfortunately Dan at wires can't help as he needs a minimum order of 5KG silver in order to create the extra soft temper.

In my searching I've also come across Henan Youk from China who appears to supply cabledyne.com but I haven't quite got 'the cojones' to order that value from alibaba!
