Please Help, valve amp expert who can fix my Sonic Frontiers Preamp

Hello, calling all valve amp experts (Anthony, Nick, Alan, Immediately come to mind) would any of you be prepared to take on repairing my sonic frontiers line 2
pre amp , I am not sure what is wrong with it but I suspect it has had its outputs shorted :( when it is connected through its single ended outputs to a pair of
valve mono power amps it causes the left amp to hum physically and produces a very loud hum through the right channel speaker , if anyone can help or knows
a man that can please let me know , cost no object I love this preamp far too much to let it go .

I'm certainly up for it Paul, looks like quite a beast.

Take a look at the connectors from the external power supply. If it is easy to get the covers off the connectors then check that all solder joints and cable tails are good. Make sure it's not plugged in.

Thank You ,You are right it is quite a beast but is the heart of my system and deeply missed already :(
I have checked the ambillical lead and connections and they seem ok there are 16 closely connected wires though so
it is hard to be 100%, the scenario was that I was using it with a pair of mono otl's , all had been fine then on switch
on yesterday immediately the left channel otl started physically humming as in rattling on the stand while the right
channel produced a building hum like a guitar and amp doing feedback, on inspection of the interconnect I was using
I noticed that the tubing insulation has pulled away over time and the positive and return could have touched but I am
not sure that they did ? if that makes sense .Here's a couple of pics of the internals I cant find any damaged caps or resistors
and there were no nasty smells , If you fancy a go at it please let me know

Have you got an integrated you could plug it into, so check the output noise starting at low volumes?

thank you again:cool: your words of calm logical reason have saved my life, I don't know if I should think of you as Spock or a Audio Angel up there in your
flying machine raining down words of wisdom. I did as you suggested and hooked it up to a pair of old active computer speakers and right channel working perfect
left channel reduced output and distorted ,switched off and swapped the left and right channel valves (3 for ea ch) hoping the distortion would switch to the right
channel, indicating a faulty valve. Switched on and blow me both channels working perfectly, I have no idea why but I am one happy camper, if you manage to
be around during the festive period there's a bottle with your name on it waiting :cool:

Audio Angel in my flying machine will do, I quite like that ;)

Glad it's all OK, probably a poor contact on one of the valve pins, rectified by unplugging and plugging back in again.

Wot 'ee said. A good dodge is to pull the valves and stand them in a saucer of Coca Cola so that the pins are covered. Leave overnight and then clean and replace. Does a grand job of keeping the pins clean.
