There is some stuff about it at http://www.nontoxicprint.com/kitchenlitho.htm

Thanks for the link Mr B. Quite an interesting read.
The reason for asking is that I was curious about a homemade diaphragm for a ribbon tweeter.

Did you know that ribbon diaphragm pleating tools are available from the far east on ebay?

Yes Geoff. I stumbled across said item one time when I was doing a search.
This though is what caused my curiosity. It's from a pair of Neat Petites. I got them just out of curiosity and they were quite cheap. One looks ok but as you can see the other is burnt-out. I thought it might just be a break in the foil but the Mylar is also burnt through. Replacements aren't available now.

You might find page 3 of this (http://www.dahlbergaudiodesign.se/engelska/del1.htm)interesting, though it probably won't help you.
Someone should build this thing. I think it'd be seriously good even if you cheat a bit and mate it with some ordinary dynamic bass drivers.

That is not a true ribbon speaker. It's an Isodynamic type. It certainly looks like an aluminium vapour deposit or etched circuit type. Bloody impossible to repair, you'd need a new diaphragm or driver.

Yes. It's an Infinity EMIT Isodynamic unit sold as Tonegen.

Graz makes Infinity EMIT unit replacements if you want to buy new ones. Not sure if it he's done this precise model though.

Thanks for the link. I'd love to be able to make something like that.
The last time I looked I found that EMIT replacement panels were common to various models. The one that looked like this one though wasn't available.
Who is Graz? Does he use kapton instead of mylar? Kapton units are said to be quite an improvement from what I've read.
