I LOVE IT but have never thought of cooking with it :eyebrows:

A culinary necessity.

Life would be incomplete without it.

We just had a delivery by some friends coming back from the UK. Its available at the local supermarket provided you don't mind second mortgages, so we get two for the price of one by getting it in the UK.

You could scan the book and send a PDF if you like:)

Thanks for the offer though. I had a look on-line and there are quite a few recipes to try. If we get exceedingly enthusiastic about it all I may reconsider how to spend more of my new found spare time.

Food is pretty high on the menu this year!@! Its been a bumper harvest for most things and we spend lots our time chopping and bottling / freezing. We need a second freezer. Not sure we will be able to eat it all.

A tiny bit of Marmite works well in gravy! (along with a bit of black pepper and butter) :)

I often wonder whether it was Marmite that the expeditionary forces were looking for in Iraq :lol:

I love it btw and also use it in cooking. Add a teaspoonful to a Hotpot or Shepherds Pie for a richer tasting gravy ;)

Prefer Bovril . makes a nice drink with salt. Noel coward gave it a wartime boost in the film in which we serve. Drinking Bovril and sherry mixed. I be tried it by the way and it was disgusting

I take a flask of Bovril drink to every City match I attend, and now that Autumn is drawing in and turning to Winter I'll be doing the same to my son's games too.
My son and I love it, and it's a football tradition that we happily maintain.

I love this sort of language and need to learn more. Maybe it has something to do with my 1/8 Scottish ancestry. (My mother's grandparents were one each of Welsh, English, Irish, & Scottish).
