Has anyone tried this little beastie: https://wyred4sound.com/products/digital-converters/remedy-reclocker
It would seem too good to be true but W4S are innovative and not species of the 'how much can I gouge you' brigade. Also a good write up on Audioaficionado.

I wonder what kind of digital signal route would need a thing like that. The most common input receiver chips for DACs all have digital reclocking built in already. I introduced reclocking into my product range since the TC-7500 once I discovered that it wasn't that difficult or expensive to do. At U$399 for that gadget, somebody is taking the biscuit.

I guess it is a bit more advanced that a flip flop with an accurate oscillator clocking out the data, maybe an implementation of a IC manufacturers product. As it will change 192 Khz down to 96 I expect the latter. For $399 I would hope that it is a FIFO buffer or something similar. I think it would be useful if it does as claimed.

Same principle as the Theta TLC, but with an internal clock instead of a PLL. With modern low jitter transports / USB to SPDIF converters I can't see this as being particularly useful (I found my Theta DAC to be more natural sounding without the TLC in place), but it could be a good upgrade for people using poor, jittery connections like cheap soundcard SPDIF outs or Apple Express TOSLINK outs.

It may be useful between something like a Sonos Connect and an external dac, the Sonos spdif output is quite jittery by all accounts.
It is similar to this http://www.empiricalaudio.com/products/synchro-mesh which often gets recommended to use with a Sonos.
