I have a Quad 405-2 and 44 preamp for sale. I bought it years ago with a view to upgrade but never did anything with it.The amp works but there's a lot of background noise. The Pre amp powers up and all the lights come on, other than that I'm not sure.
Would be ideal for an uprgrade. I'd do it myself but I've got no time or inclination and want to move it on.
£250 + postage for both
EDIT. Just had a pm from Alex (Spendorman) to tell me that it looks in the photo, that the power supply in the 405 has been changed at some point by a non standard one..... and I expect he's right. With that in mind, I'll accept a lower price of £200 + post...
