View Full Version : Projectdebut carbon esprit sb
PROJECTDEBUT CARBON ESPRIT SB in gloss red; immaculate condition with very few hrs on. Since finishing my Thorens project, I now have 3 TT's, so will put this up for sale, although I do like it a lot. Sounds fabulous and looks just as good.....its either this or the Arezzo, and I am currently under orders to keep it.
Features ACRYLIC PLATTER FOR PRECISE SOUND, CARBON FIBRE TONE ARM, ISOLATED MOTOR FOR ENHANCED DYNAMICS. The rigid plinth with anti-vibration feet is ideal in providing a taut sound quality. Using a brass bearing housing and stainless steel axle, the platter hub is superbly engineered and built to close tolerances for fine sound and longevity.
I have the box for this, and insured P&P should be about £18 that is included.

These are super TT's folks.....
Debut Carbon Esprit SB
The all-new Debut Carbon Esprit SB turntable from Pro-Ject Audio takes the hugely successful, multi-award winning Carbon design and adds even more to the already impressive package. On top of the new 8.6CC carbon fibre tonearm, new power supply method, improved motor isolation pre-installed Ortofon 2M Red and new cable junction box found on the standard Debut Carbon; the Esprit SB version also uses a totally new speed control principle to allow for easy changing between 33 1/3 RPM and 45RPM.
As well as being convenient, the speed control system also allows for smoother motor operation - further reducing unwanted resonances. Another sonic benefit is found in the Esprit's included platter upgrade. Acrylic is a an excellent playback platform, as it offers almost no resonance in the audible frequencies and negates the need for a slipmat which can sometimes cause problems.

I don't remember the CA5 being up to much sadly - and I owned a CA7 for a while back in the late 80's ;)

The phono stage alone is worth the purchase price David imo.The unit was designed by John Curl and Nelson Pass. Insiders know this is a collector’s piece from the industry’s best circuit designers. This unit's phono stage remains one of the best around, bettering many more expensive stand-alone phono preamps. Made in Japan at the pinnacle of Nakamichi’s renown. Had a few folk heard it and have wanted to buy it should I ever sell, which I won't.
PS, were taking about the nakamichi pre/phono amp in my signature not the project for sale here;)
A couple of close ups(excuse the dust but the flash exaggerates it)

Hi Grant,
I have a mate who is looking for a TT at around this price, I'll ask him tomorrow if he's interested, but he asked me to find him something good just last week.

It is certainly very good Paul. If I did no have the other 2 I'd keep it...in fact if the one who must be obeyed had not said I was to keep the arezzo or she'd do me an injury I'd have sold that one.
a little bump for this great TT.....Hardly any HRS on it..

Yes it is strange, as it is by far the best deck in its league. The clocks go back tonight and the nights get long, so might pick up soon.
What is a vintage AR?
