Perpetual Technologies P1A, Monolithic Power supply (P3B) & Beresford TC -7510 mk 6/4 Dac Combo - £500 posted (no offers thanks)
But I am prepared to sell the Beresford Dac and the PT P1a upsampler and P3b PSU separately if there are interests.
Take a Beresford Dac with it's 24bit 96khz capability and supercharge it with the Perpetual Technologies P1A upsampler. Taking what is already a highly regarded dac and feeding it with a de-jittered, resolution enhanced and upsampled 24-bit interpolated signal (Dac output) gives a real boost to this already excellent DAC. Finally topping things off with a dedicated upgraded power supply from Monolithic Sounds for the P1A upsampler, a marked difference in soundstage and bass occurs. This setup is wonderful and will be a real step up from £1k dacs. I will not use the usual nonsense of 10x it's price, however this is a high quality set up that will not disappoint at the upper price ranges. Demo welcome! The P1A has superb resolution and there are many reviews online for this unit, please go and take a look. Generally the sound of this setup is towards warmer "analogue" and not at all harsh. Soundstaging depth is excellent and the bass is tuneful and full. The two units should be linked up with a co-ax digital cable. The P1A takes the input from your transport then feeds into the Dac.
