Can anyone recommend me a decent set of solid copper / solid silver banana plugs / spades.

They are to terminate 6mm core van damme blue studio edition speaker cable.

I saw some nice ones on HiFi collective.
They had a good selection including Gaofei, Cardas etc.

I was going to recommend Xhadow, available at Take Five Audio http://www.takefiveaudio.com/mall/shopexd.asp?id=847 But Brian's suggestion seems even better.

Andrei, Brian, thanks for the suggestions but they cant accept the 6mm of conductor which makes up the VannDamme blue Studio. I'm beginning to think that simple pure copper spades at £20 for four might be the way to go, they can accept 5.5mm conductors so I might be able to shoehorn the vanDamme into them.

The VD 6mm cable has a cross sectional area of 6mm. The actual diameter is about 3mm.
So, it's smaller than the 8 AWG that the plugs linked to will take. ;)

I fitted the standard 4mm BFA z plugs from Compass audio to mine.

I think I need to admit to being a bit of a dumbfook! I'll get my coat......:door: Looks like I'm gonna have some fun reviewing plugs tonight now that you've pointed that out.

I made the same mistake. ;)
(In my defense, the cable was still in the post).
