There is rare, and ultra rare. This kit is a true ultra rare offering. Not seen one this complete even on eBay ever.
I bought this kit in order to add a SP1 or SP10 to the collection. But other things got in the way since then. However, I don't want to hang on to such a historically important part of the Technics story when it is not being used. I am sure there are many Technics audiophiles out there who would be pleased to take it off my hands, and do it justice.
The items came as a complete lot, and I only intend to sell it as such. So I won't break it up.
First up is the EPA-500 arm base and 501H arm wand. Please note that the glass is not included in the kit!

The arm is as good as new, with harly any attempt to ever mount a cartridge on it. So the headshell is unmarked.

The arm board is also included:

Next is the Technics matching phono lead for the EPA-500

And last but not least is the all important stylus pressure gauge:

I have kept everything individually wrapped and in a secure box over many years.

Feel free to PM or email me with a sensible offer. But note that I prefer a personal inspection and collection if a sale can be agreed. If it is from within the UK, I am willing to share the cost of petrol etc with you. For anyone thinking of jumping on Ryan Air or Easyjet (yes, I have had a few buyers doing just that), I can also work out something.
As a guide: the EPA-501 goes for about £500+ on eBay. The lead can be found for around £120 to £150. The Stylus gauge goes for around £125 to £150. The armboard is yet to be seen by me on eBay.
