David Bowie - Aladdin Sane (Panic in Detroit - what a song)
The Police - Synchronicity - why can't drums always be recorded like this?
Vampire Weekend - eponymous. if only the drums were recorded like above
Sandy Denny - The North Star Grassman and the Ravens. first listen amazingly, have owned it a while warming my shelf. will need a few more listens.
Favourite artists, difficult it changes frequently. have to mention

not too much modern stuff there alright, when I go looking I tend to find "new to me" music rather than just "new"
From the time my friends older brother played Sound and Vision on his new Yamaha turntable I've had a bit of the hifi bug.
Late enough into the separates game at 30 - Denon PMA 450, Marantz CD63, Revolver Purdy speakers filled with sand. Deno still amplifies a Marantz CD67SE in what is still called the playroom even though it is populated by 3 17-20 year olds.
My father died 10 years ago and after a tough year I bought my first Naim kit - CD5X, 112x/150x into my B&W DM603s.
Luckily the intervening years in Ireland coincided with the Celtic Tiger and I've reached the plateau that is CD555 - NAC552 - NAP300 - SL2.
for streaming purposes I use a SBT into a Naim (surprise!) DAC.
There is a nice little Naim UniQute attached to the TV / NTL boxes etc in the living room with n-sats attached to the wall.
I have spent an inordinate amount of time ripping my CDs with dBpoweramp to find I'm still listening to CDs most frequently.
I have a Rega P3 but my records rarely get a spin these days.
Music is hugely important in my life, I would rarely go a day without listening to at least one album. I'm not a hifi hobbiest but have to admit to have been caught on the Naim upgrade path. If there's one thing I've learned it's to decide with your own ears in your own room.
I'm not quite as one dimensional as the above may sound but I expect other aspects of my character to show themselves in time.
