Good working order and good condition.
I was quite surprised how good this TT sounds, but, I've had my fussy out of it and now it's time for a new home....... after all it's never going to replace my 401.
The lid is all in one piece with a few marks on it, nothing major but they are there!
I have lubricated all the relevant parts, the motor is strong and quiet, the belt is in good order and it works well on both speeds.
I can't really vouch for the cart/stylus, they work and that's all I can say!
It has a Memorex 'dust-bug' type cleaner attached, it's been glued on so I am not going to try and remove it!
Cheap as chips at £50 collected from Notts.

Really good starter TT this with an excellent arm and at 50 quid this is an absolute steal if you happen to be local. Good luck with the sale Kev ;)

Indeed a very good starter deck and a bargain. I used to have one of these and sold it on last year for considerably more than £50.
.
This is an absolute bargain and may well cause a few surprises beyond fulfilling the role as “a very good starter deck”! ;)
Back in the day, the SR-222 was always a cracking T/T, but never got the recognition in the UK it deserved, simply because it was Japanese (due to the idiot Rega/Linn/Systemdek obsessed hi-fi press at the time). Can’t see why it wouldn’t be as good as any sub-£500 T/T produced today.
The tonearm is essentially a Linn LVV, which on their own sell for about £70-80 on ebay. My advice? Grab this while you can, folks, as you’d have to spend many times more than fifty quid to better it!!

That is a nuts good price for a surprisingly decent sounding TT.
No reason for somebody not to get into vinyl with TT's at this price.

Thanks for the replies folks, it is cheap for sure but doesn't owe me any more than that.....don't want to be greedy ;)
I can deliver for fuel costs within a reasonable distance if it helps?
I just don't have enough packing materials for a TT and I don't have the transport screws for the motor.

That's a very nice looking TT - GLWTS
Def interested if postage turns out to be an option.
The trick when these were new was to replace the standard feet with Micro Seiki's which boosted performance significantly...
I'm having a job not buying this. It's local, a silly bargain, and...could only sit in a rota with my other decks.:(
Seems a very good price for what is on offer. I had one of these in the 80s.
Go for it Rick. I'll buy it from you in 3 weeks, once you have had your evil way with it

Well, in that case Brian.:D Where exactly in Nott's does this bargain reside? I'll take it if it's not a massive round trip.

You're nothing short of a Magpie mate.

It's an illness Mike. I cant help it. Look at it another way though, once I have it, it stays within the nest so to speak.;)

Thought your squirrelling days were done. If you see another nice 1210 on your travels to get bored with :)

Looks like that was a painless and easy one to sort out.

I'm gradually winding stuff down mate, as I'm pretty settled with my main rig. I'll keep you in mind if mine goes, but it's a bit of a ratter. Mind you, for a hundred quid.:eyebrows:

At that sort of money, just give us a shout when you want it gone Rick :)

Kev, I'd not clicked that we've met before mate, until Mark reminded me who you are. Feel free to pop up when he comes. I'll chuck some spuds in the oven.
