It all started with the OPPO BDP-95EU BluRay player which I recently upgraded to the BDP-105D player, not because the 95 was faulty but I could hear the fan noise and the streaming of movies was a little cumbersome both of these issues have now been resolved with the new model.

I then decided I needed a new pair of headphones. I listened to various brands and models and in the end there could be only one winner, the OPPO PM1's, expensive but the quality of sound and the construction made them seem a no brainer. I even bought the OPPO headphone stand.

Now hear comes the rub. On the demo of said headphones the dealer used the OPPO HA1 headphone amp (which also doubles as a DAC and class A pre). I'm now tempted to replace my Cyrus PreXdQx with the OPPO headphone amp and am feeling that I now have OPPOitis. Do I now need to write to an agony aunt or can any of you guys help me make this difficult decision.

If it sounds better than what you are using now, why not? :-)
