Step up transformer with Audio Note transformers equivalent to AN S2L.
Two windings and three settings (one of them resistor-loaded) giving a range suitable for 1 ohm to 12 ohm cartridges. 1:50 gain on the low impedance winding makes it a perfect match for the Audio Note Io and other very low impedance/low gain cartridges (such as the two Fidelity Research cartridges I'm also selling ATM); 'high' impedance setting is useful for 3-4 ohm cartridges, perfect for for Ortofon including SPU, as well as Lyra, Shelter, Koetsu and many others; finally there's a resistor-loaded high setting, used successfully for up to 12 Ohm cartridges including the Denon 103R.
Has been rewired and switches added to give the extra settings (by Valvebloke at Ampregen) - circuit diagram included. Graeme also fitted an ingenious bypass switch to enable MM cartridges to be used on the same arm without re-plugging interconnects - very handy (and was designed not to interfere with the loading).
Enclosure is a bit tatty, but the retail on the factory AN-S2L is £800 so probably worth living with!. Only made redundant by sale of my Io and arrival of a Stevens & Billington TX103 setup, which is more flexible with four step-up ratios and four settings on each, total of 16 different settings available, though the quality is equal in my opinion. Offered at £250, plus £11 RMSD in UK.

Plus three Audio Note silver interconnects:
Audio Note UK: Tonearm cable - 90cm stereo Audio Note AN-Vx 27 strand (later/current type) with high-end Jelco/SME type 5-pin Furutech silver-plated connector (connector supplied and professionally fitted by Reference Fidelity Audio at a cost of more than £150), AN-P plugs on other end and earth wire fitted, £425, plus £7 RMSD in UK.
Audio Note UK: Interconnect 1m stereo early AN-Vx 20-strand with AN-P silver plated plugs, £350 plus £7 RMSD in UK.
Audio Note Japan: Interconnect 80cm stereo Audio Note QSSC 20-strand (same litz construction as early AN-Vx) with AN-P silver-plated plugs, £300 plus £7 RMSD in UK
