I too have suspected that for quite a while… It’s one of the reasons why the Techy is so heavily promoted here! ;)

Unfortunately some folk are still daft enough to be seduced by a more ‘prestigious badge’, that ultimately delivers worse performance……...

My Feickert Platterspeed LP is has poor recorded signal stability. It took me ages to work out why all my decks were apparently so bad, until I realised that the results were identically poor!
