Yes, I have at least one at the moment.
I am going to replace the Rotel DVD, that now is used just as a transport, with a Sony CDP XB 920.
I'll do this trying to resolve its main problem, the sound performance audibly better on the outer tracks of the CD, while the inner ones sound a bit congested and less airy.
In the first instance I thought about a replacement of the laser pick up, but apart its cost, higher than usual maybe because it is a double beam, who can assure that the new pick up will give a constant performance like the one I have now on the outer tracks instead than on the inner tracks?
So for a cost that is about the same, 150 euros, maybe it is better to purchase a player that has one of the best mechanisms, like the fixed pick up one, and seems to be in perfect conditions.

Any advice about this matter will be welcome.

P.S. in my system component list i forgot to include an Audio 2C AC filter and an Audio 2C Schumann resonance generator.

Leo: very happy to know there are so many vinyl lovers here. I am one of them for sure.
My analog front end sounds nice indeed, also because of the phono stage. It is an expensive and modded tube one with separate tube PS.

You know, I have been for many years a supporter of the absolute superiority of analog towards digital.
Until I decided to build my own DAC. Audio 2C is the name of my own brand, much more virtual than real at the moment: I hand build from scratch power, interconnect, digital and speaker cables with some success, according to the few buyers of them until now. Together with me they love the way they sound: my system made indeed a great step ahead when I abandoned my old and expensive commercial cables. IMO cables are the more effective way to obtain sound degradation.
I hand make AC mains filters and Schumann generators as well.
Well, with my new DAC, despite the troubles given by the Rotel DVD transport it is coupled with, the performance of my system goes well beyond what I obtain with the analog front end. So I use to say that my DAC makes me forget the desire to listen to analog.
Yes, my analog front end still keeps an advantage about the naturality of its sound, but in all other parameters my digital transport + DAC is better.
My DAC is based on an AKM 4399 digital to analog converter. A guy who listened to it in my system and in his own as well (very hi end) says that it stands in the league of 5000 euros DACs.
Maybe he is too generous? Who knows. Anyway I have a great pleasure when listening good recordings with it. In Naples they use to say that every cockroach is beautiful to his mother... :D
Now I am planning to give it a tubes output stage.

Rexton: Don't have any pic of my system at the moment. I will try to make some good one and post it here in the next few days.
In the meanwhile I post a pic of the plinth I built for an old BSR turntable.
Repairing and reconditioning them is another activity of mine.

Well I haven't seen one of those BSRs for a very long time. It looks in very good condition and you've done a nice job with the plinth. (I like the cat too)

Me too. The owner of the TT is a guy who purchased it on the bay in naked but very good conditions. So he asked me for a plinth replying to an ad I placed on an italian audio buy&sell site.
