Spotify woes

I am having an issue with Spotify which is affecting my listening pleasure. Since the last update not only has Spotify developed an annoying screen update bug when displaying thumbnails in the Your Music section but annoyingly there is slight distortion present when playing music. Initially I thought I may have damaged my 760i's as the sound is similar to that which emanates from an over-driven bass/mid but milder. it's a sort of 'scratchy' sound most prevalent on voice and certain instruments and as such is planted firmly in the mid-range.

To diagnose the cause of this I moved over to using the main system and I am hearing the same distortion via Spotify through the Skibo's. Listen via Foobar on both systems and the sound is clean, as it is when using both my CDP and MD as well. This would appear to rule out a problem with the equipment and thus points the finger squarely at Spotify. I wonder if anyone else has had the same issue since the recent software update?

Incidentally, when playing the same albums via Grooveshark there is no distortion...

Oh several albums Chris, currently doing a direct comparison on both GS and Spoti playing Joni Mitchell's, Taming The Tiger. First noticed the issue day before yesterday playing albums from both Randy Crawford and Linda Ronstadt, I forget which. It sounds for all the world like a cartridge which is slightly out of kilter setup-wise. When played on Grooveshark the sound is as clean as a whistle...

I'm currently on Premium, so it might be something to do with the player on other levels of service.

Maybe that's it then Chris, I am on Unlimited. As I said, this only became an issue a couple of days ago after the recent update installed. I'll pop onto their forum in a bit and post up a query ;)
