Inspired by Mika's bike shots from the north, and not wishing to pollute his thread, here's a few pics on the basis that I might be the only bod here to have gone on his summer wanderings at a higher lattitude. Whale watching was at Husavik, just above 66 degrees north, the rather magnificent Dettifoss waterfall is just below. The light and clear air makes photography an absolute joy.

I've been all over, but it's quite stunning and only 3 hours from London. To be honest, it's like being on another planet.

Very expensive, mind you.
