Hi, my name is Barry and I come from Plymouth. I have been a reader of the The Art of Sound forums for a number of years, so thought it was about time I joined. I bought my first hifi in the early 70's, a Rotel amp and turntable (which I still have) a pair of solovox speakers later upgraded to Leak speakers. I now have a combined av/hifi system using Ipeng, touch and Bushmaster dac for my hifi duties. My main taste in music is classic rock from the 70's and 80's.

My main systems.

HiFi - Zyxel NAS, Touch and Bushmaster DAC using Ipeng/Squeezepad, Arcam A75 plus and Arcam P85 Bi-amped, Rotel RP1500 Turntable, Yamaha Cassete deck, Wharfedale Evo 30's main speakers and AKG K550 headphones.

AV - Wharfedale Evo centre speaker plus 4 x Wharfedal DFS Bi-polor surrond speakers, BK3000 sub plus Antimode 8033. Yamaha RX-A1020 AV amp, Toshiba HD EP-35 HD player, Opppo BDP-83 Blu Ray player, Sony 42" TV plus Soundbar, Panasonic DMR-BW880 Blu Ray recorder, Roxu and Apple 2 streamers.

Plus various bits scatterd around the house including a early 80's Philips CD850 CD player, Helios X5000 media player and Toshiba HD XE1 HD player.

Hi Barry and welcome, my first system could have had Solavox speakers if my Dad hadn't spoilt things by making me have a Bush music centre, I was only 14 at the time and apparently parents know best! Even when it's your hard saved pocket money off job money paper round money and birthday and christmas money !
