I have for sale my 650va Isolation Transformer.

After working my way through a number of filters, conditioners, re generators etc a friend of mine (who is in the business) bring an isolation transformer around that had n extremely high end toroidal inside.

The immediate impression it made on me was clear and I decided to go down this route and have one made with a few tweaks and a different case.

The case itself is made feom 3mm thick painted steel and the fascia is 10mm aluminium. The inside of the casework is completely lined out with Dynamat Xtreme a sort of sticky sorbothane with a thick foil backing to dampen the case and make it very inert.

Inside there is the toroidal which was commissioned by a German fiem and made to extremely strict standards and is shielded and has a resin centre.

The loom itself is completely star wired using Audionotes top solid silver kapton coated 1mm cable (what they use to wind their ailver transformers). The 1mm cable is doubled up twisted and stared.

Connections are all Furutech gold - three schuko outlets and a matching iec input with gold fuse.

I've been using some high end isolation feet with the unit which are not included but can throw in four brand new sorbothane pods.

The final results, well, nothing short of impressive for me. Added natural weight, power and control balanced out beautifully with fantastic delicacy and good attention to detail.

The 650va is more than enough to control most systems including amplifiers that aren't over 150wpc leaving headroom for other components. Or just leave the amps in the wall and run ur front end!

The unit is absolutely silent also.

Looking for £220

Is the secondary winding centre tapped to earth - that is, are the mains outlets balanced or not? It is very important, for safety reasons, you clarify this detail.

Thanks

Wish I told him before all that ad writing!
