Enjoy your meal and if you really want to enjoy the drive, take the first exit at the first roundabout when you get to Welshpool (the one where the cattle auction is) then take the first right (about 3/4 mile) then (apart from a brief 30 past a school) to quote another infamous Scotsman "If in doubt, flat out"! That's the exciting road straight to Monty although you can't get "air" like you can on the straight if you take the road at the end of the Welshpool Bypass
