Hello everyone,
I've just joined and this is my first post. I like old but not too ancient hifi, and you could probably say my musical tastes are generally the same, though a bit wider than that, if I'm honest.
As I type I'm listening to the CD 'Hommage a Ole Bull' by Nils Okland and Sigborn Apeland - an album featuring just a violin and piano/harmonium for those who don't know. This morning before work I was listening to Skellington by Julian Cope which is quite a different affair!
My system is Cd - Marantz CD94 mk2 or Sony CDP-555ESD (the transport seems to be in great need of a service if anyone knows of someone close and capable); vinyl - Thorens TD160 with SME 3009 arm and Ortofon super om20 cart; pre amp - Croft Epoch Elite; power amp - Leak Stereo 20 modified beautifully by Haden Boardman.
