Tom Willis of Art Audio stopped by last night on his way back from doing an instal for someone in London. He bought me one of these :)

The picture quality is not great as it was just snapped on a phone, but this is my long awaited Art Audio Phase 2 PSU for the Composer turntables. Only had a short time to play with it today but it's very impressive, the stability was already really good but is now sublime, images are even more rock solid and holographic than before and solo piano is a joy. The ability to play my fairly large collection of 12" singles without having to dismantle the deck is a joy :) One further thing is the fine tuning, a pet hate of mine is that Some US (such as the Boston Phil) and some other orchestras tune to A above middle C =442Hz where standard tuning is A=440Hz. This slight sharpness irks me and with the Phase Two I can tune it down and the set the speed in memory for next time.
The case quality and finish are very good as one would expect from Art Audio and although it looks radioactive in the picture, the LED is a gentle muted blue, not one of the eyeball searing type. It's a long beast, over 30 cms deep and heavy due to the large transformer. AC in is via an IEC connector and the output is via a Schuko plug. My Mr. yet again proved her worth tonight, I was going to get a budget Martin Kaiser Schuko from David at MCRU and when he basically told me, quite correctly I was being a tight git, putting that class of plug on a bit of kit like this, she said "wouldn't the silver plated one be better" when I said probably, SHE insisted we get that :)
