Hi everyone,

I'm currently caught between the worlds of HIFI and pro-audio.
I have a HiFi system with an oldish Dennon AV amp (roughtly £1300 new) and Eltax speakers and a set of full range Mackie 824 Studio monitors.

One of these days I intend to set them up together and find out which sounds best.

Any one have any thoughts on which will sound best before I get round to the testing?

What model Eltax speakers do you use? I once had a pair of two-way ported Eltax speakers used for AV duties - they weren't too bad at all.

Your Mackie 824 Studio monitors are totally new to me, as is anything by Mackie. Can you tell us a little more about them?

Also what are your tastes in music?
