Originally for sale with my TD125, this world class tonearm is now for sale separately as the deck has been sold without arm. The latest version of the Conqueror is £2,705 and I am asking £1,000 O.N.O. for an arm that is almost "as new".

This is boxed with instructions and all accessories and is truly immaculate; I even use nylon washers to protect the headshell when fitting a cartridge!

The arm is a dual pivot so has the lightness and fluidity of a unipivot with the handling and weight of sound of a traditional gimbal arm. It is simply an outstanding tonearm in fabulous condition.

Is this allowed here? If not mods then please delete - but I just wish to observe that this is a bit of a bargain.

There is only a marginal sonic difference between this version and the latest 3c. Both are gloriously musical and make the 'world's best arm', and quite a few other so-called super-arms, sound very pedestrian in comparison. As Geoff observes, OL use dual pivots in the Conqueror. In my listening room this results in a genuine and seamless sonic marriage between unipivot delicacy and detail and the weight and tonality that unipivots seem never to achieve. Your mileage may vary.

Thanks Kevin. It is a very serious arm indeed and sounds really excellent with a range of cartridges that I've used.

As a quick bump, I can only confirm Kevin's comments.

I have the Illustrious, the model below, but also a dual unipivot. I bought it as I had the top of the range Clearaudio unipivot (the Unify) that had little weight to the sound and was a nightmare to handle. These arms are magnificent, and with the available Linear Flow cable upgrade are incredible.

Thanks Steve. I was shocked at the improvements this arm brought to the table but needs must.

Someone will get a world class tonearm for the asking price of many significantly inferior arms.

Hi Geoff

Where does this arm stand compared 2 the Encounter MK3c ? higher of lower quality ?
I own a MK3c and like it lots :)
Any devoted Vinyl user should seriously consider buying this arm ;)

Al,

The conqueror is the top arm in the OL range apart from the 4k enterprise. Reviews are gushing and justified.

OL only put two of their arms in their own high end range of which the conqueror is one.

Hi Geoff,
Is this a nine inch tonearm?

Andrei

Yes, it's a nine inch tonearm with the Rega fit so armboards are very readily available.

Cheers,

Geoff
