Asus Xonar Essence One USB preamp / headphone amp / DAC + Opamp Upgrade

In excellent condition, owned from new and used sparingly - a great sounding multi functional DAC. Robust asynchronous USB 2.0 connectivity and separate volume controls for headphone and line outputs. Flashed with latest firmware.

1 x coaxial / 1 x toslink / 1 x USB 2.0 / 6.35mm HP output.

Not a bad sounding unit straight out of the box, but since owning I have upgraded the I/V, LPF and RCA output section IC opamps to LME49720HA metal cap opamps (at the cost of £85). This made a huge improvement to sound quality over the stock chips, it now compares favourable to my discrete Exposure 2010s2 DAC and my friend's m2Tech Young.

Reason for selling: too many DACs and something's gotta go!

Cheers Gaz! It's quite bargain to be honest considering how much the chips are/were. If I do not get any interest soon I may take them out and sell as stock for a reduced price.

Ok I have found the stock op amp chips. If anyone would prefer to buy the unit with them back in I am happy to negotiate on price. I can sell the upgraded chips + DIP8 adapters on their own.
