Good paper on stylus and record wear

I may be the only one who hasn't read this, but just in case, here is a paper from 1954 from Shure on the subject of record and stylus wear.

That is worth a read. I especially liked this bit:

'However any attempt to clean records is commendable and even a poor cleaning is better than none.'

It was the 'Fifites - when it was possible to be both avuncular and patronising at the same time :)
