My Technics SP-10 MK.II turntable is up for sale. Both the deck and the PSU have been carefully recapped using a mixture of Panasonic FC, FM, and BC components capacitors, and all voltages reset to original spec. Bearing housing dismantled and completely cleaned out, ball bearing removed and cleaned and all lubricated using the official Technics oil. Braking system also cleaned & adjusted for optimal performance. All works beautifully, silently, and the strobe is still strong. Overall I'd give the deck a solid 8/10 for condition; some light marks but nothing serious as you can see in the pictures below. The PSU I'd give a 7/10 as there's a little light dent to the top of the case and a few light marks.

If needed, I can provide the Neil Hollow plywood plinth (pictured below) for free. It measures 48.5, x 40, x 8.5cm, and is finished in Zebrano veneer on the top.

Technics SP-10 & PSU (plus plinth for free, if needed): reduced to £800.

*** Please note: Arm NOT included, or for sale ***

NO other offers please.

The deck/plinth/psu combo is very heavy, & bulky. For this reason I'd really prefer it if they were collected from us here in Basingstoke. If absolutely necessary I will carefully box it all up if you want to risk arranging an insured courier, but it would be sent entirely at your own risk. UK based buyers only please, I'm not risking any damage by sending this overseas.

Please PM me if genuinely interested - no time-wasters, dealers or daydreamers please ;)

Cheers,

John.

I have two interested buyers now for my SP-10. So I'm provisionally marking this advert as 'on hold' for now. Thanks.

If only 'our Marco' hadn't spent thousands on the 1200's he has. I still think the SP10 is up there at the very top even without any mods (ignoring restoration of the power supply) :)
