hello - new member currently living in scandinavia region.
joined here because there seemed much information on tannoy systems, particularly lockwoods, which I have. the mg15's inside date from circa 1969 (according to serial numbers). i had them re-coned an re-coiled in japan where i lived before, after which their measured sensitivity became to about 96db (actually, i didn't measure it before..). tried new crossovers, but prefer the originals. i have driven them successfully with yamamoto valve amps at 2w/ch/8Ω, but now i use a locally made 300b set 0-feedback at about 8w/ch/8Ω (plenty), with 12au7 pre.
anyway, i like the sound.
music.. mmm... bruckner, elgar, brahms, oscar peterson, elmore james, jimi hendrix. my partner likes j-pop, and i do too.
