View Full Version : ProAc Response D100
My pride and joy are up for sale. Ebony finish, as new condition. All packing available. £8,750.
Hi Marco, how do I do that, I don't seem to be able to copy and paste?
I think I have lost the will to live.
Hi Hydie,
Have you taken pictures of your speakers? If so, you need to save them to your computer, and then to post them here, host them on Imageshack or Photobucket.

Marco.
Hi Marco, the pictures I currently have are bigger than 1M. I wasn't initially aware I had to use a hosting website. Thanks for your help.

Hey I recognise those bass drivers! Volt I do believe.
Very nice!:)
Have I seen some of those in slate cabs somewhere? :)
Spot on, two 10" volt bass drivers.

Indeed you have Mike! ;)
Wow, those ProAcs are serious bits of kit, I know the awesome bass just two of those drivers can produce, let alone 4!!
Oh if only I had the space and the money!!

Hydie,
Those look remarkably similar to my Response 4s. (But they would, I hear some say !), but I'm not familiar with the 'D' range.
However, the alignment of the speaker chassis is almost identical, though my 4s use 9 inch ATC bass drivers; also the mids are ATC, I believe.
Are they also rear-ported, I wonder, and 89db sensitive?
Couldn't possibly change mine, except to change horses completely, away from moving coil. Wonder why you're parting with them, as they must be placed among the top echelon of floor-mounted m/c speakers.

Hi Mike,
these are similar in appearance but are actually quite different! They are more efficient than the 4's at 92db and side ported rather than rear. I had 4's for about 8 years and enjoyed them very much hence I bought these. They give a little bit more of everything.
Price reduction - £8,400.
These are not for export, UK enquiries only please, they are too big and too heavy.

This is probably of no use, Hydie, but a chap on PFM (Pink Fish) is advertising for some big ProAc D speakers. I happen to know he lives in Thanet, and his pseudonym is 151.
May be a red herring, but 'ginormous' ProAcs don't proliferate.
Thanks Mike, I will have a look.
These are back up for sale at £8000.
Reduced to £7000, any interest?
........ £6,250:(
Sale pending :drugs:
Gone but not forgotten, thanks Tony.:violin:
