Greetings!
I discovered this forum as I was researching the first addition to my 2-channel HiFi system I've considered in several years....a Wadia 170i Transport and Beresford TC-7520 DAC to interface my iPod into the system. Currently it's a:
Sony SCD-1 SACD/CD player
Magnum Dynalab Tuner
Audio Research LS16 Tube pre-amp
Mark Levinson 336 Power Amp
B&W Nautilus 801's
I'm a musician and music lover who has a very wide-ranging taste in genres, artists, styles...you might hear, Alkan's "Grande Sonate" followed by Screaming Headless Torsos, The Allman Bros. Coltrane, and Mahavishnu Orchestra...one after the other at my house! (shuffle is your friend!)
Anyway, I'm here to learn how to further integrate digital source material into my systems...hence the WAdia etc. and will probably eventually put a server and offboard disc drive in. Ultimately for me, it's all about the music!
