I have eventually come to realise that this turntable is not receiving as much listening as it should. The move to a new house with sprung floors does not lend itself to a suspended deck and, as we will not be moving for several years, this deck needs to be appreciated and loved by somebody new. This is a very difficult decision as I have invested a lot of love into this deck.

It is possibly the best 125 that you will find. Presented in a fabulous Russ Collinson solid plinth in macasser ebony and featuring an Origin Live Conqueror MK2 tone arm, the deck has been fastidiously cared for, has had the bearing and motor lubricated and also features a brand new belt. It can be supplied with its original box and manual though the deck no longer fits in to its box due to the bespoke plinth.

The latest version of the arm alone is £2,705 and a Collinson plinth of this level is £750. The deck also features a spare macasser armboard and fitted solid brass cones and cups as well as its original platter mat. The cartridge is not included.

This is simply an amazing sounding deck and in wonderful condition. £1600.

Hi Geoff,

How's it going, matey? Hope all is well :)

I've heard this T/T, folks, and it sounds as superb as it looks! Like Geoff says, you simply won't find a better example of a TD-125. Good luck with the sale - someone's going to be a happy bunny!

Marco.

That looks absolutely superb Geoff. Love the matching armboard, really sets it off.

Thanks Geoff. The OL Conqueror is also absolutely immaculate with the smoothest bearings that I have come across on any tonearm.

Nice one, dude. Still enjoying the 'new' job (as I seem to remember you had some new challenges in that respect last time we spoke)? We should hook up again sometime for a sesh - been a while. Be nice to see your new gaff, and we're in Liverpool pretty regularly!

Marco.

Nice deck those, however i never will get on with modern arms on vintage decks.

The arm made such a difference that I kept it on after trying it. The smoothest bearings that I have ever come across. It's a dual pivot; all the advantages of a uni apparently with the handling of a full bearing design.

This is £1,500 btw

I thought this may have gone by now. It's slightly cheaper here than elsewhere you know!

Listened again yesterday and this is some deck. Marco heard this with a lesser arm than it now comes with and believe me, the OL took this into another dimension. It is a 3k arm new though!

Unreal - the arm is worth £1,500 alone. Unfortunately I've already got one ...

Too right Steven. Effectively this is a mint high end deck in a solid Russ Collinson plinth with a top quality arm for the used price of the arm!

Deck no longer available

Have you decided to keep it? :)

Marco.

The deck has sold and I will be listing the arm separately Marco. How about a minty OL Conqueror for £1,000 O.N.O! About 35% of the new price for a genuinely world class arm.

Ive seen and heard this combo many times. It looks and sounds fantastic. So, Im sorry to read that I wont hear it again.

Anyone looking for a top arm, this is it.

Geoff is meticulous with his Hi fi equipment and he is one of the good guys. So it will be in exactly the condition he says. Deal with him in confidence.

I would agree with that totally. Good luck, Geoff, with the sale of the arm! :)
