Guys my arm is dropping fast. Is there a way to fix the thingy? I know there is a replacement, I m just wondering if this is something I can avoid.

Without knowing which arm, make and model its impossible to say. However most tonearms offer some adjustment over this, but if its an old arm the method of damping may have perished, dried up etc.

Usually a matter of re-loading the cue with 300K Silicon oil..

A sorry for that. Posting on the Techie parts I thought it would be obvious.

I am talking about the SL1200 factory arm

Many folks use other arms so I made no assumption re what you were using. Not sure re solving your problem but I am sure someone will be along to help soon.
