I just find them a complete pain in the @rse when I try to put a record back in the sleeve Andre, the cheap ones are fine cause you can just slip the record in them no problem but with these mofi ones I find you have to remove them and the record from the sleeve.

Tony,

Surely if you turn the sleeve at 90 degrees to the opening of the outer sleeve to make a dust seal, you will always have to take the inner sleeve out of the outer  If you don't turn the inner sleeve and you aren't removing the static, you are going to get dusty records.

There are 3 sleeves involved: You put the anti-static sleeve inside the inner sleeve then put the inner sleeve in the outer sleeve at 90 degrees to form a dust seal. On removal you take the inner sleeve from the outer sleeve and remove the record from the antistatic sleeve without removing the anti-static sleeve from the inner. Then you replace accordingly. I recommend Nagaoka sleeves as they stay inside the inner sleeve when you remove the disc and don't come out with it or crumple up. Mo-Fi may be the same, I don't know as I haven't used them.

Hi Paul, I don't really get much static (maybe that's the mo-fi's) but I hate removing the sleeve from the record jacket, I've never ever had to do that in all of the years I've had vinyl, I like just pulling the record out of the sleeve/jacket and then putting the record back the jacket/sleeve when I'm done with the record, the record sleeves that come with the record are perfect for that, the Mo-fi ones aren't.

That would drive me mad:eek:

It's not as much faff as it seems, but it does look like it when it's written down :)

I find it very interesting the way people do things!

I never touch the record cover, i use 450grm poly sleeves to protect the cover, clean the record with {Paul Stewarts superb record cleaning fluid} place the record in a mofi inner, slip it sideways down the back of the record packet..
