I have the above for sale. It's in excellent condition and has a 1 meter DSP 2.5 mains cable attached.

Asking £125, with postage to the UK being £5.

They did disappear for a while hence my comment. A quick check of the site reveals they are now back again - hence your puzzlement at my comment.

Perhaps it is worth saying this example is £201 now new

Hi All

This is a very long shot, but I want to get a USB DAC/Heaphone amp. Must be USB powered, something along the lines of a Dragonfly 1.2, DacMagic XS, Audio Engine D3 or Meridian Explorer.

So if anyone has one of the above or similar and wants to swap for my Mark Grant 6 way block or G2000HD interconnects, then let me know.

Also, I have just noticed that the lead id 1.5m long and not 1m as previously stated.

I dont think you have allowed enough for Delivery Darren at £5 as this item weighs nearly 4 kilos when packaged.
Maybe there are some low cost delivery companies from Jersey to UK ? but mainland UK to Jersey would be about £25 to £30 or so.

£100 delivered equates to about £80. For a mint item that would cost £201 + delivery, that's not even close.

Very surprised at your reaction Marco, and even more so at Darren. I made a genuine enquiry about the mains block. After something has been unsold for a while it is only natural to ask if there can be any further reductions. Darren said no and I was willing to pay his full asking price. I then noticed his listing on Ebay for less money and mentioned it to him. My point was I could save him Ebay and Paypal fees if he sold it at the price on Ebay. His reaction was:

Look. Buy it, don't buy it. Pay £201 plus postage from Mark. Your choice.

Really not the reaction I was anticipating from a fellow forum member, which prompted the response Darren has posted above. He then described me as a tire (sic) kicker. His unfriendly manner was unsettling and I thought it better to buy it through Ebay where I would have buyer protection. I made a very reasonable offer which he declined before removing the item from Ebay. Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face! I was genuinely interested in buying and don't appreciate such treatment from a fellow forum member.

As site admin, Marco, I'm surprised you should immediately jump to his defence and criticise me. The PM history is there for you to see and you will see I acted in good faith.

Fair enough, but why the aggressive manner in the PMs and today on the forum? I was genuinely interested in buying and definitely didn't want to take the p*ss with the price, having already noted the post from Mark Grant about postage. Just because I'm not a "senior member" doesn't entitle you to treat me so rudely. I've NEVER received such a terse reply after asking a few genuine questions about something I wanted to buy.

Incidentally, I would have bought the block on Ebay last night but I had a very early start this morning so waited until today.

No worries, Gareth, although I sincerely doubt that your reputation as a buyer and forum member has at all been adversely affected, perhaps quite the opposite.

There are always two sides to every story, and so anyone who were to judge you on just one side of that story would be a fool, particularly as you've quite clearly shown that you were not at fault - I don't think either of you were; it was simply a breakdown in communication.

The reason for my intervention, although I fully accept now that the conclusion I reached was wrong, was to send a message out to timewasters/tire-kickers ('out them', if you will), who quite simply, we'd rather didn't use our advertising facilities.

Anyway, I hope there are no hard feelings and that we can all now move on :)
