Or anyone that knows the answer to this.....I want to reinstall the sexy looking VU meters on my SBT, I used to have them before, but removed them in the mistaken thought that they were causing problems.

I've followed the directions on the Logitech site, go to Settings....Advanced....Applets Installer. And have installed Patch Installer and Custom Clock as directed, but I'm damned if I can see any alternate VU meters let alone access them!

Help please!

Have you added anything other than the EDO applet to your Touch?
If not touch the screen repeatedly while the player is doing its thing, and the VU meters should be somewhere on the cycle.

You both don't mean just to bring up the standard VU's do you?

I thought those were the ones you referred to.
I ain't never played with no fancy VU plugins, and I don't intend to start now - go to the Squeezebox forums and ask there http://www.madhouselive.com/wp-content/uploads/sod_off_.jpg :)

Is this the kind of thing you're on about, Craig?

If so there's a 51 page thread about it.

Happy reading

Remember creating a few of those screensavers and submitting them back in the day.

Buggered if I can remember how, was years ago! :)
Sorry Craig. Not done the squeezebox thing for Years now.

Gazjam, no worries ,

Chris, It is, but I have already done all that they say I need to, and still nothing.

Craig,
had a rummage...

You need to go to "Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer" on your Touch and install either "Custom Clock" applet or "Patch Installer" applet. Both have some different VU meter alternatives. "Patch Installer" will replace the standard VU meter in Now Playing screen while "Custom Clock" will act as a separate screen saver which also could be configured to completely replace the standard Now Playing screen.

Found the original thread, here: (ah the good old days..)

hope this helps.

its worth going through that thread I linked to Craig, all the info is there.
Erland (guy who developed this) is posting on it.

Why not ask him too?

Ah....this might be the problem....when I try and press Patch Installer nothing happens!

you got it.
Might be worth doing a factory reset then reinstalling what you need (Dont forget EDO mod!) :)
Whenever I hit a snag always did factory reset then install what I needed.
