What it does:
Extracts digital Audio from HDMI and outputs it via Optical or Coax SPdif.
I used it to output 24/88 SACD digital audio into my Dac from the Oppo.
Bought this when I bought the Oppo Bluray, thinking I was going to get into SACD's but prefer just listening through the Server.
So not doing the SACD thing, so its surplus to requirement.
4 Months old, only used once, as new.
