Quad 405 For Sale

One ex-studio Quad 405 up for grabs... Not in mint condition, it has scratches/corrosion/small dings/feet missing etc but still soldiers on like the tank it is. Last serviced by Quad in 1993, I haven't poked around inside - Just removed the cover to show internal condition. Transformer is dated '81 so might give an idea of production date ? I would hang onto it but don't have a workshop at the moment so cant give it the TLC it really needs.

All in all its a nice daily runner but no good for a collector/museum piece! With current condition in mind I'm asking £150 ono.

What, no workshop James? Are you serious?
That was one of the first things to be sorted when we bought this place in France.

Anyway glwts, a bit of a bargain as they do tend to last forever, with a bit of TLC,

Aye Alan, It was #1 on my "to do" list but unfortunately current 'leccy wiring isn't up to scratch & needs refitting... Other things have taken precedent but hopefully I'll be up and running again within 8 weeks or so.
