Something I never expected to see, even for 2 shows......

"Seminal progressive rock band Henry Cow reform specifically and exclusively in a tribute to former member, composer and musician Lindsay Cooper, who sadly passed away in 2013."

Dagmar Krause eh!

Dagmar was in the 1960's band 'City Preachers' with Inga Rumpf, Udo Lindberg & Jean Jacques Kravetz , these three would later become members of the legendary Frumpy.. Dagmar made a great LP with Inga onboard called the I.D Company which is well worth grabbing if you see it..

To be clear, HC aren't strictly reforming they're just coming together for 2 concerts with a number of other musicians to commemorate the music of Cow member Lindsay Cooper, who died of MS last year. Lindsay composed only about 5 pieces for the Cow, most notably half of the music on Western Culture. The bulk of the performances I imagine comprise Lindsays other music; film music, her work with News from Babel (a Cow spin-off) and the song cycle Oh Moscow, all of which are excellent.

She pops up in some unexpected places, backing vocals on Paul Young's No Parlez album for example.

What's the net got to do with it? I saw them at the Roundhouse, Dagenham, with Faust! Both rather pretentious, IMO.
